The Puerta de Nájera hostel is a very important building in the Camino de Santiago which crosses Nájera.
A classical architecture building, renovated at the end of 2011 and at the beginning of 2012, has all kind of services and accommodations to reenergise and enjoy a useful and well-deserved rest which will help you to face the next stage of the journey.

The Monasterio de Santa María La Real was ordered to be built for García Sánchez III de Navarra as an episcopal see and as a future mausolem for his family. It started to be built after Calahorra conquest in 1045, being consecrated in 1052, without being finished. From this old building is only preserved Virgen caveand some tombs. In 1432 the current church was started to be built and it was finished in 1516.
