Rocamador de Estella is a Camino de Santiago's pilgrims and tourists' hostel, located next to the Romanesque temple dedicated to Virgen de Rocamador in Estella, a city in Navarre whose history is related to Camino de Santiago. The Virgen's statue is a beautyful sculpture, which measures 88 cm in height, of the 12th century XII.

Opened in April 2015, the price per bed includes a bed sheet, a blanket, a bedspread and the breakfast. All rooms have key amb a locker with key. You have at your disposal the living room, the reading room, a private car park, a vegetable patch and the Virgen's Chapel.

Notes:

All beds are fitted out with bed sheets, blankets and bedspreads. 
Rooms with 2 beds have included a bathroom, bed with a bed sheet, a blanket and a bedspread, and a shower towel. 
All rooms have lockers with key available. 
Rooms with 2 beds and full rooms shared have available the room key. 
Free Wifi service for pilgrims.

Arounds

Estella city was born in 1090. It was created to accommodate and feed pilgrims arrived from different Europe countries who went to Compostela. During centuries, it was the most important commercial and industrial center, being the first commercial code in Península Ibérica.

Estella has an incalculable legacy of historical landmarks, traditions and monuments.  

Santa María de Rocamador's temple

Legend says that Virgen María,  after her Assumption to the sky, appeared in front of her servant Zaqueo and ordered him to move to the Galias living like a heremit. In France, after found Le Puy's sanctuary, he moved to Quercy, where resided in a rock's cavity, built up a chapel. It was known as "Amator Rupium" (Rock lover) by the heathen natives, was named Amador, and Roc-Amador (Amador's rock) was the name of the rock where he lived, which derived in Rochemadour.

Next to the hostel is located the Romanesque temple dedicated to Virgen de Rocamador. The Virgen's statue is a beautyful sculpture, which measures 88 cms in height, of the 12th century XII.
